Today marks the tenth anniversary of the terror attacks in the Indian city of Mumbai. Over four days terrorists attacked two hotels, the main train station, a café and a Jewish centre.

We remember the 166 people who lost their lives, including two Australians. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of those killed and injured.

The Australian Government stands in solidarity with the Government of India against terrorism.

As pluralist democracies in the Indo-Pacific, our countries share a common interest in upholding security, and countering all forms of terrorism, radicalisation and violent extremism.

Australia and India cooperate closely on counter-terrorism, and earlier this year agreed to further strengthen cooperation.
